I'm not sure how much John has contributed to this list lately, or even if
that is how he spelled his name for the list.  He was a great resource for
music questions.
His real name was John Steenhoven.  On Wednesday he and his wife had just
left their home and he had a massive heart attack.  Luckily when he became
unconscious his car went into a tree and garage and no one else was hurt (he
lived across the street from an elem. school.) His wife was not hurt, but,
as John was her sole caretaker, she was admitted to the hospital until
arrangement were made for her care.  I have been their friend for over 10
years and will miss him.  I had just talked to him on Sunday night.
