[PW] Character in British Novel

[Carolyn Scheer]

This is a stretch, but maybe spelled "Charmian?"   She is a character 
in Jeffrey Farnol's series including THE BROAD HIGHWAY, CHARMIAN, & 
others published in the 1930s and 1940s.
