This is for me, so continental drift, rather than laser speed, is
appropriate.
My current book on tape is LAUGHING GAS by P.G. Wodehouse. In Chapter
3, one of the characters says (I think -- the tape is a little grainy)
something like "six months from a Sheffield Wednesday". When I search
the Web and other online sources for "Sheffield Wednesday", I am
barraged by citations to a British football (we Yanks would say soccer)
club. But that doesn't seem relevant to the way Wodehouse used the
phrase. Any ideas?
