   I have called Western Reserve Historical Society (per  Kathy) to check on 
this. The Erie St. cemetery in Cleveland (where the man  is buried) reported 
that they did not know what "Somaria" meant.
 
  I have never seen "somatic exhaustion" on a death certificate (so  far). 
But anything is, as they say, possible...
