I just tried Jerry Springer straight across, both as a subject and as ALL, and got 90 and 214 hits respectively.  Oops, that was in Omnifile Mega, but the search worked.

Well, this is truly bizarre.  I wonder if my university has a 
different version, or something, because no joke, my using "Jerry 
Springer" as a search term turned up little if anything.  So, I guess 
I should flip the name and put the last name first?  Who 
knew?  Thanks for the assistance, said Donna who feels truly embarrassed.
