It would be helpful if you could give us the name of the author. There is a database called Web of Knowledge and within that database there is HighlyCited.com. This will allow one to check and see if they have been cited. It covers the following areas:
Web of Science
Current Contents Connect
Derwent Innovations Index
Since it covers Current Contents, your patron might be mentioned but one has to go in and check to see.
