Hi all: Here's my first try at Wombatification. A patron remembers having a
poem read to her many years ago. She says much of the wording may be wrong,
so it's a general impression. She remembers it as being in "baby talk", thus
some of the spellings.
I's a poor little sorrowful baby,
Bridget is way upstairs.
My Mama has dot a new baby,
And dolly won't say her prayers.

No luck with Granger's, etc.
Much Googling on my part produced a number of children's games (clapping,
jumprope) that sound a little like it, but she says it's not a game song,
that it was read her from a book (of course, that doesn't mean it wasn't a
game song, I know). Does this fragment of doggerel
ring a bell with anyone? -- Rick, neo-Wombat
