The original response pointed out that we are not really apprised of the facts,
and so should not comment.
This is a situation where wild guesses are probably ill-advised. The fellow
sounds like a complete fool, but may have been wildly misquoted. He certainly
would have been unwise to pass any public comment about her condition as he
perceived it.
That said, a little knowledge of genetics is necessary before people offer
advice. XYY individuals are phenotypically male, generally above average height,
and may have a lower IQ as measured on standard tests. They are less likely to be
college students, and most unlikely to be female-looking college students. They
would be more likely to be socially clumsy male-looking college lecturers.
