Colleagues,

   My thanks to Andrew Warren, Jeanne Schramm, and Phalbe Henriksen for supplying the terms I had meant to copy but forgot to.  Tim Elliott gets only a single thank, because, as he points out, he supplied only one term; on the other hand, Nancy Jo Leachman supplied not two but three terms, so she gets the extra thank that Tim forfeited, giving her one-and-a-half thanks.

   The grand prize winner -- if you consider a samll box of Godiva chocolates a grand prize -- is Bill Davis, who supplied the first plausible explanation I've ever seen as to why the insane are depicted in cartoons as dressed like Napoleon, and in a Napoleonic pose.
