According to a poster at Booksleuth, this is the "Little Hank", by Alice
Sankey. It is the story of Hank the handcar who gets butted off the
railroad track, rolls down a hill and the men in charge of him ask everyone,
"Excuse me, is this the Weehawken,Hoboken and Troy Railroad?" It is a
Whitman Tell-a-Tale Book [1948]. There are plenty of copies at
