Library Growth Trends Throughout History
I am interested in the history of libraries and their growth,
but I realize that other than for the world's largest several
libraries, data on the size of their holdings over a century,
or even more, might not be all that easily available.
In pursuit of such information, I am collecting up a hundred-
year stack of alamanacs, etc., that usually list the largest,
at least in one country, libraries, but I would love to see a
similar listing from other sources, other countries, etc.
If you have any idea of various sources where I might find an
assortment of such data, however incomplete, please tell me.
I am hoping there just might be a few people of like interest
that we might be able to locate enough data for extrapolating
the missing data and making some possible projections.
Thanks!!!
