In the cache of eBay's Antiquarian and Collectible Want It Now section, this exact title and author spelled Wendy Duchesne is found on a list of 223 wanted items.  This item was listed as wanted on 1-2-08 by a poster from Stewartstown, NH, no name given.  So, someone else has been looking for this title, or your patron is spreading a wide net.  I didn't find this title or author at amazon.com,  abebooks.com, or alibris.com.  The eBay hit was the only hit I got by googling the title in quotes.  Searches for the author essentially turned up nothing that seemed author-related...  Not much help, I know, except that it may be a book old enough to be antiquarian or collectible; your patron might want to try old and rare book dealers.

Hello,
I'm hoping this won't prove as elusive as Leo Stevens (a discussion I've
been following with great interest-- I'd never heard of the gentleman
before), but I have a patron asking for a copy of a book called Big Laugh,
Little Clown by Wendy Duschesne.  Seemed simple enough, but I can NOT find
any listing even remotely resembling this in Worldcat.  I've tried by author
(and some alternate spellings of the last name), by title, by words in the
title, etc. and can't find anything.  A Google search brought up two
requests on eBay "wantitnow" from 01 & 02, I think but no details.  Any help
would be appreciated!
