Hello:

One of our professors is interested in U.S. based corporations operating in
Germany during WWII. According to him, many received reparations for war
damage done to their facilities. I have unearthed information that the Ford
Motor Company received $1.1 million from the Foreign Claims Settlement
Commission in 1965/1966 (not exactly sure about the year). I also came
across information from a U.S. Treasury site stating that the E. I. du Pont
de Nemours and Company was awaiting compensation.

I steared the professor toward two books:

Trading with the Enemy: An Expose of the Nazi-American Money Plot
1933-1949By Charles Higham Delecorte Press, NY. 1983.

The Fruits of Facism : Postwar Prosperity in Historical Perspective* *by
Simon Reich (Cornell University Press, 1990)

The titles of these books make me question their "objectivity," but it's all
I have at this point.

The professor would really love to get a list of U.S. based corporations
that received compensation.

Any help is appreciated!
