Okay fine, my encyclopaedia article about Ethel Reed is still in need
of an ending, and I've done everything on-line that I can do, so is
there anyone with access to the 1911 British census? I'm even
willing to pay someone to tell me if she was still living in London
in 1911 the way she was living there in 1901. I haven't been able to
check on-line because unless I am reading it wrong, the 1911 census
requires that one know the street address of the person. The only
address I have is what it says on the 1901, that she and her 4 month
old son are living in St. George Hanover Square London (Belgrave). I
am determined to solve this mystery, and the letters of her former
lover the poet Richard LeGallienne certainly seem to indicate that
she was still in London at that time, although I cannot verify it.
Sooo, can any of you nice wombats with more access to British records
than I have help me take this mystery to the next decade?
Btw, those of yo who found an Ethel Reed who died in 1910-- it's not
our Ethel. This one was born in the UK. Ethel was born in
Newburyport MA in 1874.
