Hello Laura,

Please forgive me if this has been answered already. I have been away 
and may have missed some messages.  Yahoo! has a very good free stock 
screener that may meet you patron's needs.  Google has put one up 
recently as well, but it is not nearly as complete, and does not yet 
allow one to select by price. They will probably add features over time. 
There are other sites that provide similar services. Yahoo! may be the 
best free bet for now.
