I found a Lithuanian mapping site http://www.maps.lt/mapslt/redirect.asp?l=2
and tried the 2 spellings you provided but no joy. I then just tried Kop truncated and got the following cities or villages:
Kopustai - Klaipėdos r. sav.
Kopustiskiai - Molėtų r. sav.
Kopusteliai - Ukmergės r. sav.
Kopusteliai - Ukmergės r. sav.
Koplycninkai - Vilniaus r. sav.
Koptiske - Zarasų r. sav.
Kopustine - Zarasų r. sav.
There's a Lithuania Online site (although it doesn't look particularly official, with an email address you could try: info at online.lt
This probably doesn't help much, but FWIW...

Subject: [PW] trying to locate Lithuanian town
We have a patron with immigration/naturalization papers for both his
father and grandfather, dated 1902, listing place of birth as
Kopishich/Kopisich, Lithuania. He would like to locate this place on a
map. None of our atlases, historic or otherwise, have been helpful. Also
checked the list of place names on www.fallingrain.com
<http://www.fallingrain.com/> without success. Any ideas? Thanks.
