It's A Dirty Job by Christopher Moore

"There are no conclusions to be reported.
There is merely a discussion to be maintained.
Not to answer our deepest question, but to make available to us answers, that others, guarding other sheep in other valleys, have given.
To include them in the consultable record of what man has said."

PAtron gave so many details I'm ashamed that I
can't figure it out myself. Here's what she told
me: A quiet, shy man inherits a pawnshop. Certain
items in the shop glow becaue they contain souls
of the newly dead. Along with the pawnshop, the
man inherits a book on how to collect souls. The
man's assistant in the pawn shop, a young Goth
woman, wants the book for herself. The man has a
little girl who is protected by Helldogs. When
the little girl points at someone and says
"Kitty!", that person dies. There is a character
who wears lime-green suits and drives a fancy
car. His name is either Mr Green or Mr Lime, and
he is a soulkeeper. The book is not "Soulkeeper".

I know someone out there in Wombatland must know
this book!

Thank you in advance.

Barb
