Heck, back when my partners and I were doing a book review TV show
(SUNRISE BOOK REVIEW) in the early 80s, we reviewed one:
The Marquise and the Novice by Victoria Ramstetter, published in 1981
by Naiad Press.

We spent an hour, reviewed two G and two L romance novels, and never
mentioned anything about them being other than what they were: romance
novels.
