[PW] Anthropomorphic insect book

Greetings fellow wombats,
Patron remembers a book of black & white photographs of insects posed in everyday human situations and environments. The book must have been published pre-1970 and is not necessarily a children's book. Believes the author is a man, possibly Eastern European. It is not 'The Illusion of orderly progress' by Barbara Norfleet. Searched Amazon and Google books to no avail. Thanks very much for any help,
