[PW] What Happened to gethuman.com?

Have you checked your system for malware or tried this on a different
"brand" of browser? I use Firefox primarily but did check the site in
Internet Explorer and the correct page came up.

However, malicious web sites can occasionally place code (deceptively
called a "Browser Helper Object") into a browser's extensions which
cause it to forward to a specific site when either an incorrect URL is
entered or they can place themselves as the home page for a user,
countermanding that user's preferences. These are used in Internet
Explorer.

I've seen it a few times over my years of IT support but as a regular
user of kayak.com I would doubt very much that this is kayak's doing.
If it is, I will immediately stop using them.

Useful malware and spyware detection and removal programs:

Lavasoft's Ad-aware:
 http://www.lavasoftusa.com/products/ad_aware_free.php
(Free for personal use)

Spybot Search & Destroy:
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html

Microsoft Windows Defender:
http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx

Note that I have no affiliation with any of the above products beyond
being a loyal user. No warranty is expressed or implied. This offer is
not void in Alaska, Hawai'i, and certain Micronesian nations. If
installing under a full moon, be sure to look up and howl. Your
neighbors will wonder what you're doing.

Hope this helps,
Bob.
