Can anyone point me to an electronic copy of the 1764 Gentleman's Magazine?

I am trying to track down a reference by Thomas Pynchon on page 438 of
"Mason & Dixon" to a letter in "Gentlemen's (sic?) Magazine" regarding the
promotion of Neville Maskelyne to H.M. Astronomer (the letter mentions
"Betts, Bevis, Short"--three other leading astronomers). Maskelyne was
promoted in 1765, but the context in Pynchon's novel suggests that the
letter was published in December of 1764.

The "Internet Library of Early Journals" only includes the Gentleman's
Magazine from 1731 - 1750, and, as best as I can tell, Google Books has not
scanned the 1764 volume yet, though they have scanned the 1765 volume and
an 1811 compilation that includes a different letter by Dr. Bevis from the
1764 volume.

Thank you!
