Schaumtorte is one possibility, but I have no idea. Some recipes are
very heavy on the whipped cream and/or pastry cream. But, of course, the
variants on schaumtorte are almost as different from one another as
different recipes for "bean soup".
Do you have any more information? Where does this question come from?
Where, more to the point, does the mention of Hitler's preference for
this stuff come from? The source of the information might help us figure
out what recipe you're looking for.
