I looked up the title at the top of Dennis's newspaper article. It turns out
that the

"Marquise de le Fontenoy" was the pseudonym of a syndicated gossip columnist
of

the time, Marguerite Cunliffe-Owen. Under that pen name she has books about 

European royalty. One of them is "The Secret Memoirs of the Courts of
Europe: William II, Germany,

 Francis Joseph, Austria-Hungary, Volume I".

and is on amazon, along with a few others. The name of the book may be
buried in what I assume is

several volumes of hot historical gossip.  Or she may have mentioned it in a
column.
