Not really.

1) Familiar/formal forms of address in European languages began quite
late: from late Latin forward. Prior to that, "thou" was used toward 
divinities,
emperors and urchins alike.

2) Use of the pronoun "thou" and its verbal concordances in addressing
God is merely a translation of that same form of address in the languages of
the Hebrew and Christian sacred texts: Baruch "atah" Adonai...; Our
Father who "art..."
