Send your letter, but if my memory is correct she would have lost anyway. She and winner entered Final Jeopardy with the exact same total. He bet it all -- about $8000 -- and she only bet about $3000.  So it's not totally accurate to say she lost for giving that answer, implying that she would have won if they had accepted "Ye". She still would have lost.

Recently on an episode of Jeopardy! a contestant lost in the final round for
giving the answer "Ye Old Curiosity Shop" (instead of "The Old Curiosity
Shop").  Before I send a letter of protest (!!) to Alex Trebek, does anyone
know of a reason why "Ye" should not be considered an alternate spelling of
