listserv, covering this very topic.  Original query below:  

"Can anyone suggest a source (printed or online) for this information
about insurance companies:
We would like to know the names of the corporate customers of an
insurer, and if possible the names of customers who buy specific types
of insurance from that insurer."

In short, your patron is looking for a db that does not really exist,
and finding specific information in this area is likely to require a
veritable pile of research which may not bear much by way of results.

Patron wants to know of the existence of a database or directory that
lists businesses and the insurance companies with whom they hold
policies and/or the reverse, insurance companies and the businesses that
hold policies with them. Thanks.
