Thank you, I think that is what the patron is looking for.  (I had
Santayana's original quote printed but could not correlate it to
anything from Eisenhower).

While this is not an exact quote, at Grinnel College (May 13, 1965),
Eisenhower said the following, and paraphrased Santayana:

   "Boiled down, this is to say: learn all you can about your country in

it.' "
