Concerning a couple names on the list:
-- Bill Gates: I suppose the details of the question are important here,
but in this case "dropped out" means "quit part way through Harvard",
which is different from "thinking about leaving the 8th grade.
-- Einstein: I'm not sure what you mean by dropped out; Einstein
completed his doctorate. (In general, while Einstein might not have
enjoyed some his classwork --in the sense of being bored-- the stories
of his doing particularly badly in school are pretty much an urban legend.
A good source here is Abraham Pais' excellent biography "Subtle is the Lord").
