Try searching "Authorities" at Library of Congress. Here, you may search for subject and name authority records, though default search is Subject Authority Headings.
http://authorities.loc.gov/cgi-bin/Pwebrecon.cgi?DB=local&PAGE=First
The actual subject heading is: Holocaust, Jewish (1939-1945)
Type this in to the search box (it is sufficient to just type in: holocaust, jewish).
This will appear as first subject heading on a list of headings. To the left, there is a maroon and gold button "Authorized, Refs & Notes". Click on this button. Then, click on link "Authority Record". Then click on "Holocaust, Jewish ........ " underneath "Select a Link to View the Authority Record".
You will now see MARC record for the heading.
There doesn't seem to be a specific field listing when the heading was first created; however, the record does have an LC Control Number: sh 85061515
I believe that like LC control numbers in bibliographic records, for records created in the 20th century, the first two digits indicate the year. So, it appears this authority record was created in 1985.

Subject: [PW] Holocaust as a library subject heading?
A patron came to me today with a two-pronged
question: when did the term "Holocaust" become a
popular term for the Nazi extermination of Jews,
and when did "Holocaust" become a formal subject
heading for library collections?
The first part was easy enough, but I drew a
blank on the subject heading question. We don't
keep LCSH archives in our branch, or the Sears
list. Can anyone tell me how she can find the
information? Thank you!
