Anyone planning to attend the ALA meeting in Washington in June might wish to dine on Monday, June 25, with The Sub-Librarians Scion of the Baker Street Irregulars in the American Library Association and the local Sherlockian society The Red Circle of Washington.  There will be informal presentations on and by Sherlockian librarians, and toasts of various sorts.  The event is listed in publicity for the ALA meeting, but in case you missed it, drinks at 6:30 and dinner at 7:30, at the National Press Club (14th and F Streets NW); dinner will cost $41.00 including tax and tip, and there will be a cash bar and a choice of entrees: salmon, beef, or vegetarian plate.  The deadline for reservations is June 11, and you can send checks (made payable to me) to me at the address below.  Please let me know your choice of entree.
