[PW] Number of Public Safety Vehicles

Hello,

 

One of my analysts needs figures of the number of ambulances, fire dept.
vehicles, and police dept. vehicles in the United States and other major
countries of the world (Japan, China, Canada, UK, France, etc.), if
possible. I found a rough estimate for ambulances by simply googling
"number of ambulances US," but unfortunately it didn't work for the
police and fire department vehicles. Oh, he also wonders about figures
for vehicles owned by government agencies such as the CIA or FBI and
also by private security agencies, but acknowledges that this sort of
information would be harder to find, thank goodness.

 

Can anyone point to a relatively reliable source or sources to get me
started in the right direction?
