And yes, in my experience the ""WWW" part is often referred to as "[the] 
three doubleyous".  The URL is usually "you are ell" or "Internet 
address". I don't think I've ever heard anyone in "meatspace" call it 
"Earl".  It actually looks to me more like "yourl" anyway.
