Hello Fellow Wombats,
A patron is looking for a children's poem which would have been
familiar to Scottish Children - probably 20th century or late 19th
Century. She on;y has the first stanza. We would like to help her
identify the name of the poem and the name of the Poet. We have looked
in "Index to poetry for Children and Young People " from 1976-1997. We
tried "Googling". We know that it is NOT "The Moon" by Robert Louis
Stevensen. We would love some help. Thanks, Barb
Here is the stanza we know:
The clock in the kitchen, the clock in the hall
The great round clock on the nursery wall
Yes, all the clocks they work with a will
But up on the landing, time stands still.
