"Here goes nothing" almost sounds german to me...
"Hier geht nichts (mehr)"  is colloquial for "Nothing is functioning or 
working properly (anymore)" - or rather  "Here you cannot do 
anything more"   

A german croupier or casino cashier says "Nichts geht mehr"  for the 
french "Rien ne va plus".
