Not specific, but maybe a little help:

In 1999, CURRENT BIOGRAPHY informed us that:

"John Tavener spends most of his time composing music on the
island of Aegina, in Greece, where he resides either at a monastery
or in a hotel."

There are apparently a lot of hotels on Aegina:
