[PW] ? Italian phrase used by publishers: "condotta sul testo"

"Italian edition based upon the edited text published by..." Literally, 
"drawn from the edited text..."

(One panino, two panini, never a panini. Stouffer's television 
commercial is ungrammatical. If the grammar is wrong, how must the 
panini be?)
