[PW] Ethel Reed Query (more news, but no answers are revealed)

I continue to track down what I can about Ethel's life, and am 
finding all sorts of interesting stuff-- even more effusive reviews 
of her work, for example-- but nothing with the definitive answer 
about where and when she died.  Her father's death on 6 August 1892 
was interesting-- he died very young (only 43), and the obit doesn't 
mention that either Ethel or her mom attended.  In fact, city 
directories of that period indicate that Ethel's dad Edgar and her 
mom Mary Elizabeth were living apart, though no evidence of a divorce 
has surfaced.

I got the burial records for Edgar, and it turns out that he and most 
of his family (his mom, some brothers and their wives, etc) are all 
buried in the same cemetary in Newburyport MA.  But no record of Mary 
Elizabeth, nor of Ethel.  I now wonder if after Edgar died, Mary 
Elizabeth returned to Ireland.  She was from County Cork.  Birth name 
was Mary Elizabeth Mahoney, and she was 19 when she married Edgar in 
Newburyport in 1872.  I've seen a number of women named Mary Reed and 
Mary Elizabeth Reed on what few British census records I could find, 
but nothing that matches up correctly.  Given that Ethel was living 
in London in 1901, I wondered if Mary Elizabeth was there too, but so 
far, nothing.  So does anybody have Irish death records from around 
that era?  And is it my imagination or are there fewer British and 
Irish records available on line than there are US records?  (I might 
be looking in the wrong places...)  Thanks again to everyone who has
