I need to do a quick comparison of Walden in relation to other American
classics. Walden has been in print since its author died in 1862, has been
reprinted in more than 150 editions, and has been translated into every
world language.

Does anyone know which other American classics have remained virtually in
print since publication?

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. - Jeff

"I have sometimes imagined a library, i.e. a collection of the works of true
poets, philosophers, naturalists, etc., deposited not in a brick and marble
edifice in a crowded and dusty city. . . but rather far away in the depths
of the primitive forest. . ."
 -- Henry D. Thoreau, 3 February 1852
