Hi - I am having trouble figuring out to whom this quote is attributed. So
far, myself and a colleague have searched about 25 quote books and several
databases with no luck.

Here is the quote:
"What is a home without a library. What is a library unless one lives in
it?"

The quote is inscribed on a small bronze plaque that was probably made
between 1900-1930. There is a small name in the lower corner - "B.F.
Griffith". I believe this is probably the maker of the plaque. There is
what looks to be a signature under the quote, but I can't make out what it
reads - possibly "A Edward ..."? I haven't found anything in the quotes of
A Edward Newton, but maybe I've missed something.

Anyway, I hope this is enough information that someone can recognize the
qoute!

Thanks!

Heidi
