There is a famous residence named Knebworth House - home to the Lytton
located in well ....."Knebworth" which is near Baldock, here is the address:

The Estate Office,
Knebworth House,
Knebworth,
Hertfordshire
SG3 6PY
United Kingdom
 From their website:

One of England's most beloved stately homes, Knebworth House is famous
worldwide for its rock concerts and as the home of Victorian novelist
Edward Bulwer Lytton - author of the words "The pen is mightier than the
sword" - this beautiful gothic mansion is situated 29 miles north of London
off the A1(M) at Stevenage.

It has several gardens on the premises one of them called "The
Wilderness" perhaps this will help you solve the mystery. Mr. Morris may
have been a guest of the Lytton's and perhaps signed a guest book of sorts.
Hope this helps.

perhaps there is a relation to the last comment - or perhaps not - my
earlier message was bounced back for some reason

Hows the weather in North Dakota...........true wilderness from some
perspective
