Hi,
I did search Digital Dissertation Abstracts and all I found was:

The complete mitochondrial DNA sequence of the spotted asparagus beetle,
Crioceris duodecimpunctata
by Stewart, James B., MSc
SIMON FRASER UNIVERSITY (CANADA), 2001, 90 pages

Is this the person? Yes, a title and publication date would be helpful.
