Thanks for checking the 1900/1910 Censuses - those were the only two I
could find too. Nothing earlier, nothing later... although he IS living in
Chicago in 1916.
I do have his 1901 book ("Mystic" as you say is more correct), which is
somewhat curious... both scientific and gobbledegook.
I found a cylinder recording of his voice (ca 1904?) and am trying to write
an article on him. He once owned quite an estate (40 acres) on Diamond Lake
in Muchigan, near Niles and was selling it in 1905.
And Thanks to Sue K. for a great 1892 (Iowa) article on him!
