I read something similar ages ago, and I thought it was by Bradbury (perhaps a story from The Illustrated Man?). I believe it goes something like this...a group are walking through the jungle on a planet and it is constantly raining. They are trying to
get to a shelter, but keep losing members of their group. I remember a line from the story mentioning that if they looked up they would drown from the rain...
