[PW] trying to locate a YA Book

I have a young teacher who wants to find a mystery that she read in her
YA Lit class at UNI.  She does not know the author or the title. 

 

Two boys get phone call 
Caller claims to have killed a coed from a nearby college
The girl is really alive and one of the boys goes to warn her
Boy's father is upset that he is delving into a prank
Boy and girl end up in a car crash with the killer

 

Can anyone help?
