Subject: What is an azun

In Eve Ensler's poem Under the Burqa the word 'azun' is used.

Does anyone know what this refers to ?

> or the cries of other women flogged
> inside their cloth, inside their dark.

*pronouced Ah ZOON

Have searched Google but can find no references to anything that
resembles this word except a village in Palestine which is not
relevant to Afghanistan.

My daughter is in the VM show a couple of weeks from now and she is
reciting this poem and wants to know what this is.
