Actually, there were more Geisingers than you think in the area... 
okay fine, I only have stuff from the 30s and 40s, so do you know if 
your friend moved to Hartford, or if his family was from there too?

Like, way back in 1939, there was a Jacob and Betty Geisinger, living 
at 425 Woodland in Hartford-- relatives, perhaps?  Or in 1994, there 
was an obit for a Marshall Geisinger who died in Hartford  -- he was 
only 63, and had been an executive for a home improvements 
company.  The Hartford Courant newspaper IS on line, from 1774 (!) to 
the present, but while searches are free, there is a fee to get 
articles.  Maybe a librarian at the Hartford PL could do the search 
in the Courant-- I did one and it came up with various hits using the 
keyword "Geisinger" in the 60 and 70s, but I'm assuming most were for 
Marshall, given that he was a well-known businessman.
