[PW] 70's public TV show on filmmaking

I'm trying to recall a show that was on Public Television in the 
1970's.   A host would deconstruct the symbolism of a film, then the film 
would be shown in its entirety.  The host had a southern accent, and the 
program may have been produced out of  North Carolina or Georgia.  The 
films I recall being shown were "L'Avventura,"  "Hobson's Choice,"  and 
"Rules of the Game."  I'd like to know who the host was and what other 
films were featured.
