  Ancestry.com doesn't transcribe his name as "Leonide L Keatinge" in the 
1930 census. At least it didn't reveal any soundex variations for Keating in 
San Berdoo county, except Emma and one other (male) Keating. Both heads of 
household. So I can't verify your 1930 census record, but it looks right.

  It may be that an obit turned up in some other newspaper than LA, like San 
Bernardino/Redlands. There were a number of health conscious groups in the 
warm dry air of Redlands and surrounds.
