A Google quickie shows him as an impressionist painter born in 1924. If 
he still did impressionism 75 years after Impressionism peaked, he may 
be hard to locate. Maybe our Canadian colleagues can check in _La 
Petite encyclopédie de la peinture_ or some similar French volume for a 
bio on your behalf.
