Has your patron asked a tea discussion group? There is an excellent one at
teamail at yahoogroups.com. (It is a
strictly moderated group and I don't know if the moderator allows
non-members to post messages, but she is a very helpful person who would
probably be willing to forward the query to someone who might know the
answer.)
Some members of that group are professional tea growers or in the tea
business.
